This is a question Pathological Liars

Friz writes, "I recently busted my mate who claimed to have 'supported the Kaiser Chiefs in 2001' by gently mentioning that they weren't even called that back then."

Some people seem to lead complete fantasy lives with lies stacked on lies stacked on more lies. Tell us about the ones you've met.

BTW, if any of you want to admit to making up all your QOTW stories, now would be a good time to do it.

This is a QotW answer In 2001 Kaiser Chiefs were called Parva
My ex-bandmate's band supported them in Birmingham (along with some band called Halo), and they were absolute shite. Possibly the worst band I have ever seen. At the time, Parva were an industry joke, constantly sending out horrible demos to whoever had any power.

This is a QotW comment They're still a joke as far as i'm concerned
song no1. "ahhhhhhhhhh---ooooohhhhhhh"
song no2. "wooooaaahhh-aaahhhhh-OOOOOOHHHH!"

This is a QotW comment ^^^^ I agree
I also find it really suspicious how they suddenly became massive, after years of everybody knowing how fucking awful they were.

This is a QotW comment Kaiser Chiefs/Parva
They haven't improved either. Absolute fucking rubbish wannabe 80s pastiche student tossers.

This is a QotW comment I like them!
I also downloaded some of their early Parva stuff and though it was ok, but I prefer the Kaiser Chiefs material. They'll never win any awards for lyrical genius, but they've made some stomping party tunes.

This is a QotW comment A friend of mine
was molested by a drunken Ricky (is that the singer's name?) at a student party in Leeds. She told him to fuck off.

This is a QotW comment .
I've come to the conclusion that succeeding in music has as much to do with musical ability as succeeding in business has to do with competence.

(And yes, I'm aware that I'm quite possibly the last person in the world to arrive at this aprticular party, but 'meh'.)

This is a QotW comment Exactly
But when the mate in my story was telling us, he was still adamant that they were still called Kaiser Chiefs.

Oh, funny stuff.
