Jizzbiscuits-Murphy writes, "I was punched at a friend's party by a drunk who thought I was Russell Brand"
Well, if you dress anything like him, you probably deserved it, but who have you been mistaken for/mistaken other people for?

I wonder if I could take advantage of Americans not being familiar with the term, and name a kitten mimsy, and laugh hysterically to myself whenever my friends and family talk about my kitty... Of course, it would make me look quite strange if I were to meet someone who did know the term....
I feel very cheated with no new qotw...

I look similar to Derren Brown. Well, when I thinner I looked a lot like him. Now my friends often refer to me as "the fat Derren Brown." Anyway, a couple of years ago on a night out in a trendy bar, looking very smart, these two girls came up to me asking if I was in fact the master of mind tricks himself. After a few minutes persuading them that I wasn't the famous trickster, they asked if they took take a photo of me and them,
"But I'm really not Derren Brown!" I re-iterated. That didn't seem to stop them, and one of them said, "Yeah, but when we tell our friends you will be."

There's an old Irish folk tune called Fanny Power.
Apparently it's named after a young lady though, and is nothing to do with the rise of the women's liberation movement.
(Perhaps the mods have mistaken Friday for Thursday this week - where's the new QotW?)

In the spirit of Roger's Profanisaurus, would it be worth knocking up a b3ta wiki to explain all the z-list 'celebs' from various countries, TV & radio shows, terminology, and other doesn't-travel-very-well material? Any takers?
