In celebration of this, what is the nicest thing someone's done for you? Whether you thoroughly deserved it or it came out of the blue, tell us of heartwarming, selfless acts by others.

I think the nicest thing anyone can do is to just "be there" for some oneA couple of years ago my cousin was murdered and I was distraught by the news. My then gf did the best thing anyone could do, and that was that she dropped everything and spent the whole night with me.
She hardly said a word that night (mainly because there was nothing she could say that would make me feel better), she just sat there listening to me talk and comforted me.
Although things royally went tits up with her, I'll always be grateful for then
