The urge to punch my house mate in the face is strong today.
I went into the kitchen to put some washing on this morning, whilst I was there I put away the dry dishes and plates and changed the bin bag. Fifteen minutes later I go back in and the place is a shit hole again. He has cooked himself a fry up and then rinsed the pans under cold water meaning the sink is covered in solidified fat. Nothing has been put away or put in the bin. I want to destroy the little wanker.

How are you with your finances? Generally in-or-out the overdraft? Got a bunch of debts or investments?

I'm not asking who has more/less cash, it's not a pissing contest, more about in terms of living within you means.

I've started taking on private clients as the ratios of what I spend to what I get each month are a bit out of whack. A couple of clients a month, if I give up one of my weekend days and every other evening, I could probably double my income, and I have people knocking on my door every few weeks asking me to build stuff for them. Towards the end of last year I wasn't accepting privates 'cus of the move, but now I'm settled, it won't be any extra stress.

Do you have a skill (or body part( 'cus I have to mention prostertution, 'cus it's me)) that people would pay for outside of your employment?

Jeff has been nagging me about PIERBASH II - Pier Harder, so I'm conducting a poll.

I'm thinking some time in August, probably a weekend. Obviously the bank holiday weekend is a bad idea, but does anybody have any preference for other dates?

Weston isn't entirely the abject shithole it appears, and we do have nice guest houses and hotels - there's even a travelodge or premier inn or something. Bring your other halves, make a weekend of it, have some fun.

I know they've (the nanny state) been talking about introducing a minimum unit price on alcohol for a while now but I've only just found out what they propose it is
40p per unit. Which doesn't sound like much until you look into how that will affect the price of different types of alcohol.

Vodka will still be about £12 a bottle, infact spirits won't really change in price
Wine will still be the same price, so will your beers and lagers

The real problem comes with the big bottles of cheap cider and extra strong lager. A 3 litre bottle of Frosty Jacks will go up from £3.99 to a minimum of £9! Now I don't drink this stuff, I like my JD and red wine so this law wouldn't really affect me, my issue is that this is just going to cause big problems to poor family's and those on benefits.

Really, if you've got no money, then you shouldn't be buying non essentials like fags and booze, but let's be honest, people don't give these things up. What this is going to end up being is a tax on the poor and is ultimately going to end up punishing children.

"Because daddy has spent our entire weeks money on 1 bottle of cider so he can forget for a while that he has no job prospects because the country is fucked."

I know it's just a small thing but it'll end up forcing family's with alcohol dependent parents on to the streets. It really is a tax on the poor, but would you expect anything less from a conservative government?
