You won't be charged based on your height! :-)
The Clifton Hotels group (linked below) can probably do you a en suite room for a lot less, and if you're getting the train in, a four quid bus ticket will get you to your hotel and then down to the cider boat as and when you're ready.

I had a look at The Washington can do you a single room for £44 with a bathroom
Although you should double check that.

But if you want to check the location of a hotel before booking, let me know, you don't want to be spending fifty quid on cabs to get there and back to your hotel again.
