Hmm, I've just checked train times and prices.
Cheapest I could get would be £59 each there, £58 each back, that's before finding a hotel. So it looks unlikely that we'll be coming, even with the recent job offer.

That's a real bloody shame
which job were you offered, and are you taking it?

One I was interviewed for in January and didn't get at the time.
They rang me last Thursday and asked if I was still interested and I said yes. Only until end of May initially, probable extension to September and, hopefully, permanent after that.

Oh I vaguely remember you saying about that
was it one you particularly wanted/will look good on your CV or is it just a gapfiller til you find something better?

I really fancied the job at the time and still do.
I reckon it'll be interesting.

EasyJet will fly you down on
Saturday morning for £34.99 and take you home Sunday evening for £39.99*
*No idea if that includes tax/extras or not.

*rubs chin*
I'd forgotten about SqueezyJet, although there's still taxes, transport from airport etc to factor in. I shall discuss with the missus, whom I'm about to go and pick up.

If you can't make it, then worry ye not.
I'm sure Monty and Stunned are going to have another night in September.
