I don't see why, seems to be an enginering problem at the moment, the science is proved.

they gave up on laser powered fusion, i'm fairly sure they'll give up on other methods soon too

Really? I thought they just did the most powerful laser test last month or so and it was sucessful.
well it made fusion, it wasn't a net gain.

the 2009 experiment must have been around the time I heard about it
i think i read the wikipedia page on it and they said funding had been cancelled, wikipedia lied ot me again
