There was a bloke from [Area] who got arrested for trying to start a riot, during the riots, using facebook inside the libary.I passed some screenshots onto the police and I found out the other day that he got 6 months or somethign like that.
I can't work out someone who is interested enough in the internet in order to reguarly go to a special location for it, who 'cant afford' or has no interest in spending the money, to have it in their home. I mean, laptops get thrown out with the trash these days, and they all have finance options for better ones. They'd be at least on par with the libary. And the connection comes with massive discounts for those on benifets / as low as £5/month. If they spend just one hour on it, it pays for themselves.

As much as I really, really hate to admit this...I agree with NakedApe. *weeps in shame*
The only bad experience I've had with a police officer was the one who didn't believe I'd had my card stolen from me (yes, I know, idiot, etc, blah blah blah). Even when I mentioned there was CCTV nearby, he was still trying to accuse me of fiddling the system, until I pointed out that unless he saw me on the picture, then it was theft, as I hadn't given anyone permission to take the money from me.
However, as soon as he saw the picture, his tone changed entirely, and he was rather apologetic for being so accusatory, and was superb after that, taking more than a little glee when he arrested him.
Aside from that, I've found them all to be pleasant individuals when I've met them.
Alt: Police, I actually wanted to join them for quite a long time.

I fundamentally agree with protests about the governments idealogical policies on cutting public services and pensionsAll of which have nothing to do with deficit reduction.
So the police have my support in that respect.
On the other hand, having had first hand experience of the police's treatment of demonstrators, I think it would be an eye-opener for them to be on the receiving end for a change.

Yep.Coppers don't start out as cunts, though. The job turns them that way. I can accept that black people are involved in the majority of crime. What I don't accept is that they do so because they're fundamentally more inclined toward criminality. I'm sure that if the majority of wealth was controlled by black people and white people lived statistically closer to the poverty line, that white people would cause most of the crime.

something about the server, i didn't understand it but our IT guys refused to do anything and our ISP refused to do anythingso tricky dialled into the server and entered some settings manually and it came back on after a while
and thats why there won't be any christmas this year
