No 100 replies for Kroney,
he doesn't deserve it, he's fucking shit.

So the government are trying to get 18-24 year olds to start their own buisnesses with a whole £2500 grants. What kind of buisness could you start with that little money?

Also should the government be activley encourage people to be starting buisnesses, most fail within a year, so aren't they just encouraging bankruptcy?

(, Tue 29 May 2012, 13:57, Reply)
There is a whole train of thought here that I've skipped..
But I want to write a book about an addictive drug that can be made out of processing human bodies, and that using human flesh/meat is the only way to make it.

That would make an awesome premis for a film/book.

Buisness grants for young people and small buisnesses are a good idea.
but it would be much better if they gave £25000 to 10 times less people who have the best plans.
(, Tue 29 May 2012, 13:59, Reply)
you are so elitist
they shoulod give everyone £2.50, it's the only way that's fair
(, Tue 29 May 2012, 14:01, Reply)
to be fair £2500 is enough to get some tools and start a handyman style buisness
but I don't think that every unemployed below 24 should get a handyman job.

should be enough for a webstart up maybe?
Although you'd need to m ake monery pretty damn quick
(, Tue 29 May 2012, 14:07, Reply)
Nah, Gonz would know more than me but I don't think that's enough for a serious web start up.

(, Tue 29 May 2012, 14:08, Reply)
It all depends on the start up, any kind of bespoke stuff would more than likely cost more though.
So if it's like a blog or an eCom shop, then they could do it for that price.
(, Tue 29 May 2012, 14:11, Reply)
I suppose you could start an ebay wholesalers sort of thing for that price pretty easily.

(, Tue 29 May 2012, 14:13, Reply)
That's the big thing about the vast majorty of people who I meet who have a website/buisness idea...
... they forget that _buisness_ comes first. They'd have to buy stock of some kind, buyers of some kind, work out the profits.

And people who talk about all that, are generally to lazy to do anything beyond the initial concept, and their prime reason is so they don't have to work again. Those people will always fail in buisness and life in general.
(, Tue 29 May 2012, 14:20, Reply)
Yep, you're going to have to be working 6-7 days a week for the next five years if you want to be a success.

£2500 is nothing to start a business with. Even the Princes Trust give larger grants than that.
I put £150k in to starting my company, partly as I needed some staff from day one, partly as we needed to buy equipment (which couldn't be leased without any trading history) and partly as I needed to run the business cash-positive to aid cashflow.
(, Tue 29 May 2012, 14:53, Reply)
What was the business doing?

(, Tue 29 May 2012, 14:54, Reply)
Failing, ultimately.

(, Tue 29 May 2012, 14:55, Reply)
Nope. Initial investment was made as a directors loan to the company and I was repaid in full once the business became profitable.

Sorry Quentin
But it's well established scientific fact that the law of perspective doesn't apply to stringed, wooden instruments.

Some guy went to clean my windscreen with the biggest squeegy I've ever seen, it looked like a duvet wrapped around a broom handle
then I realised it was just Battered in his new "less stressful" job and he was very close to me.

Trades should be far better taught and regulated to make them a positive choice for young people
for whom academia isn't their nbest bet.

Alright well what about that racist youtube bint
Jailed for 21 weeks. Waste of taxpayers money if you ask me, just give her a load of community service in Brixton of something. The person filming it didn't report it to the police and neither did anyone else on the tube it seems. If they never uploaded it to youtube nothing would have been done.
(, Tue 29 May 2012, 15:30, Reply)
The police don't investigate anything if there's not a report.
So someone must have reported it, even if it was someone who watched it on youtube. Anyway that woman was a thick drunk bitch and if we can't lock them up...
(, Tue 29 May 2012, 15:32, Reply)
Yeh so if they never put it on youtube some nosey cow with nothing better to do who was never there to be offended would never have reported it.

(, Tue 29 May 2012, 15:37, Reply)
SO locking up racist cunts who cause a public nusence is a bad thing now?

(, Tue 29 May 2012, 16:01, Reply)
community service should be the go to punishment for many more crimes
like unemployment, obesity etc
