did you all die?

Public holiday innit, K.
To celebrate a dysfunctional family of inbreds who avoid paying tax, do - on aggregate - very liitle, are naive and insensitive about other people to the point of crassness and get paid what amounts to social security at the taxpayers expense.

They save the country a fortune, by not collecting profit on their land.

Could you elaborate Gonz?
Are you suggesting that no-one in Duchy of Cornwall holdings pays Prince Charles rent?

Or maybe he just pretends they don't to justify his £15 million per year tax avoidance.

here you go =)

Is that not, frankly, an utterly specious argument?
Well let me tell you that it is - it's one I've heard before and the point is that although rental income is collected it is "Crown Revenue" - ie. not subject to tax or scrutiny.

It's also rather telling that the clip is preceeded by an advert aimed at middle-class over 50's - probably the only demographic containing a pro-monarchy majority.
(, Mon 4 Jun 2012, 20:40, Reply)
I donno, I think it makes sense to me, I don't really know how to argue against it...
... except perhaps mentioning inhertance tax, but even then, it wouldn't really count on account of the queen's age meaning 40% or whatever it was back when her father died, but Charles would lose out on that account.

You don't get to choose your adverts on YouTube, they're generated automaticly (for non-pro youtube accounts, such as that... which cost about £25kpa I think, not sure were I got that figure from) based on what you've been browsing and what you're watching at the time.
(, Mon 4 Jun 2012, 20:46, Reply)
Again, Crown Revenue.
The royal family won't be troubling themselves with inheritance tax.

Was watching microsoft's comferance on what they're doing with xbox over the next year.
Looks pretty awesome, there was a game that looks identical to angry birds only 3D and stuff.

Only on the inside.
Hot Chip's new album has brought me back though. Wine poured, music on, smiles all round.

(, Mon 4 Jun 2012, 19:46, Reply)
alright?
ready for an extra and confusing day off?
(, Mon 4 Jun 2012, 19:51, Reply)
I'm not sure what to do with myself
Tough to admit but i'm kinda bored
(, Mon 4 Jun 2012, 19:53, Reply)
I spent the weekend wet and cold
in a tent. Tomorrow I will mope about and perhaps unpack things. Such is a day with larp comedown
(, Mon 4 Jun 2012, 19:57, Reply)
Larp comedown - a malaise for our times
Who looks after the pigs when you larp? Is there some sort of Guinea Pig Butlins that you can leave them in?
(, Mon 4 Jun 2012, 20:16, Reply)
my friends do a different larp
so I look after their cat when they larp and they look after the pigs when I do, so don't worry, they are OK
(, Mon 4 Jun 2012, 20:17, Reply)
Does your larp league know that you consort with such charlatans?
What if there was some sort of larp battle royale, involving all larp chapters?

I'm being facetious - sorry - hope you had fun.
(, Mon 4 Jun 2012, 20:21, Reply)
it was rainy and not much happened
but I did drink much vodka and helped sing a song about a leviathan cult

there is a little bit of competition between larp systems, but not really these two so much
(, Mon 4 Jun 2012, 20:24, Reply)
How many systems are there?
I must admit that until I encountered you on here I had no idea that such a thing existed.

This isn't a prelude to mockery - as I've previously admitted I'm making a model railway so I'm in no position to pour scorn.
(, Mon 4 Jun 2012, 20:31, Reply)
*shrugs* loads
some are small and run by local groups, then there's much bigger ones. Wouldn't like to hazard a guess
(, Mon 4 Jun 2012, 20:32, Reply)
Who's land do you use?
And how much land do you need?

I am genuinely curious.
(, Mon 4 Jun 2012, 20:42, Reply)
the smaller ones are in scout camps
the big ones I go to are in 2 or 3 big fields in derby
(, Mon 4 Jun 2012, 20:44, Reply)
Like I said - a revelation to me
I knew about battle re-enacters and I knew how obscure they can get - I once encountered a Spanish Civil War re-enactment in a farm museum near York.

If you haven't got a passion you haven't got a life.
(, Mon 4 Jun 2012, 20:50, Reply)
okay ta
Am currently chillaxing
Yourself?
(, Mon 4 Jun 2012, 19:55, Reply)

Hey Cavy!
Did you have a good birthday? Did you enjoy your LARP? Are you happy? Is it all good in the hood?
(, Mon 4 Jun 2012, 20:35, Reply)
not the best event
but it had it's moments, mostly while drunk last night playing games about being in a cult. I'm tired, mostly, too tired for happy or sad?

how was your bank holiday?
(, Mon 4 Jun 2012, 20:37, Reply)
Not bad, ta.
Been to the first bbq of the year, did some design stuff for my website. All cool.
Now I'm throwing downa breezer and chilling out.
