This is a QotW answer I met a charming gent
by the name of Martin Morton yesterday. Have any of you met people with amusing sounding names? Not like Mike Hunt or Emma Rhoyds (both of whom I knew) but names that just sound funny.

This is a QotW comment A good friend of mine works in a bank
and therefore meets all sorts.

From the Asian section of the population, he's met Mr Wi and Mrs Pu. Also a Spanish woman called Mrs Bras. (She was apparently very grateful when he pronounced it "Brass.")

A strapping, 6ft black dude whose first name was "Precious."

There are others...I'll add them when I remember them.

This is a QotW comment That one
always amuses me too. First noticed it in a hotel in Liechtenstein, of all places, whereupon I remarked to my mate, "Hey Dave, look - this is Schindler's lift!"

Used to have a cashier called Dallas Hoare.

This is a QotW comment Just remembered
I once met a Drew Peacock and a Simon Symons as well. Not that it's going to matter, cos this thread has been pushed off the bottom by a whole lot of pointlessness and no-one's ever going to read it.
Not that I'm bitter or anything.
