the one that is most annoying is hotmail. There's a stupid bar of adverts down the right hand side that i cannot get rid of.

Any ideas? Other than getting another email account? Or tippexing out the screen?

Get a gmail account and link it so that all hotmail messages go in to it and are replied to through gmail, but appear to be from your hotmail account

Or use firefox, get the adblock extension and then right click to block all of the adverts.
You'll have a white space there instead, but that's got to be better.

Hotmail doesn't allow you to do forwarding, if I remember correctly. It's annoying, and is yet another thing that makes Gmail so much better than Hotmail.
