This is a question Things You Still Can't Do Properly Despite Being a Proper Grown Up

An Inflatable Bearded Whumpus asks "What can't you do properly despite the fact you're a fully grown and responsible adult?"

Nothing instills confidence more than overhearing a builder on the site opposite muttering "Righty-tighty, lefty-loosey" to himself.

Basically, stealing the idea from this thread on reddit.

Mum!
The mother of one of my son's school friends had to go into hospital for a few days for an operation. The father was left on his own to look after 2 children. It's not that he didn't know how to work a washing machine - he didn't even know where it was! (They did have quite a big house). Luckily his mum lived 2 doors away so he and the children just moved in with her until his wife was out of hospital.

I'd have loved to have known that guy.
He seemed nice.

Do you have a girlfriend?
If yes, then no, you wouldn't want to meet him. Well, actually, you wouldn't want HER to meet him.

I do wonder
how some of these helpless man-children ended up like this. They must have been molly-coddled by their parents to an extraordinary degree and then married a complete doormat very early in life without having a chance to even learn to care for themselves on their own. It's the only explanation.

Christ on a bike
Housework, cooking, washing, childcare are not difficult. How hard can they be, even women can do them.

On the other hand, a guy I worked with used to have to explain to his wife, over the phone, 8000 miles away, how to use the remote for the telly.
And for the record, she couldn't use the washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher or microwave without help either.
Having seen photos of her though I've got to admit that he's a lucky, lucky bastard despite all her faults.

Ha ha this is true
In fact just last night I had to tell my wife how to set a telly program to record - on the system we've had for about 3 years
