Picky EatersAn old, old friend of mine will not eat/drink any hot liquid. Tea, coffee, soup etc do not pass his lips.
Which would be odd enough if he wasn't in the Army. He managed to survive a tour of duty in the Serbian mountains in winter without a brew.
Who's the pickiest eater you know? How annoying is it? Is it you?

Stupid cookA few years ago I got a job working for some cattle musterers in the middle of nowhere in Australia. The previous cook had been sacked. She had applied for the job in Darwin which was a two day journey from the camp. When she arrived she was told that she had to cook three meals a day, and all meals would have beef as the main component. At this point she said "But I'm a vegetarian. I can't touch meat" She was sacked on the spot. I wish I'd had the opportunity to ask her what she thought she would be cooking on a cattle ranch... for cowboys.
