This is a question Devastating Put-Downs

Amorous Badger says: I once saw a former manager of mine being asked to 'sit down and let your mouth have a chance to speak' by his senior. What's the best heckle/putdown/riposte you've ever seen? (Hint: Recycled 'Your mum' jokes does not make an answer)

Devout Christian English student: "There has never been a film made which was better than the book upon which it was based."

To be fair
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep was a short story, not a novel, so less room for character development. Doesn't make the film any less iconic, though. I also thought The Godfather as a novel could easily hold its own.

Do Androids Dream... and We Will Remember It...
The films were, in the order I mentioned them, not too bad and silly.

@DOZ-One - The shining was a better book than it was a film.
The film is great but you get a lot of the backstory which explains a lot more background about Jack Torrance in the book.
