Scaryduck writes, "I celebrated my last day on my paper round by giving everybody next door's paper, and the house at the end 16 copies of the Maidenhead Advertiser. And I kept the delivery bag. That certainly showed 'em."
What have you flounced out of? Did it have the impact you intended? What made you quit in the first place?

This song meant that my vague hatred for my job turned into an 'I quit' within days. The horror that is a three month notice period means I'm working til the end of June. Well, I say working. Clearly, I mean 'being paid to read and post to b3ta and organise bashes'
Six in the morning don’t want to wake
Sun laying low and the world sleeping late
Hate like the river runs heavy and deep
Oh I wish that they’d sack me and leave me to sleep
Five days from seven the week’s hardly mine
The alarm clock’s gone over to enemy lines
Waste my time working for cowards and creeps
Oh I wish that they’d sack me and leave me to sleep
Rain strikes the window heralds the day
Rain won’t you wash these eight hours away?
Rain feeds the river runs heavy and deep
Oh I wish that they’d sack me and leave me to sleep
Birds on the windowsill sing in the dawn
By the time that I’m home all this day will be gone
Spend my life sowing what others will reap
Oh I wish that they’d sack me and leave me to sleep
Rain strikes the window heralds the day
Rain won’t you wash these eight hours away?
Rain feeds the river runs heavy and deep
Oh I wish that they’d sack me and leave me to sleep.

I'm currently working a 48 week notice.
I have two kittens that need playing with at home and it's sunny outside.
Bah.

In the UK? Bummer. Sorry to hear that.
Have you had any employment advice. Are you a union member? I know you might have agreed to that in your contract but I thought that UK employment law overrode that - and it's my understanding that the max in UK law is 12 weeks...
