Alternatively, why not Like an unpopular system
The second hand price of Nintendo goods (apart from Game Boy) in this country has always plummeted to fairly ridiculously low levels a year after launch. Suits me, I don't like FPS's so I don't feel the need for a PS3 (do have an X360 but that's for flying and driving ones) and never been that fussed about playing others online.

I used to do that when I was younger
made much more exciting if you have sibling to hit with your stick, or with the addition of a bit of string, you can make a bow to propel the stick at your siblings.......much fun.

I made a bow that was so powerful it was downright dangerous. Never fired it at anyone, but it could probably have killed.
