Scars with historyYou've all got scars: they're nature's little reminders not to be so damned stupid next time. My favourite is the 1/4" round hole in the back of my right hand, created when I was 7 by my best friend putting a manure-covered gardening fork "away".

DT lessonsDesign and Technology, aged 12, trying to chisel wood. I'm a bit malcoordinated. Chisel slips and I end up with a trip to the nurse's office, DT teacher in hysterics and an inch long scar on my wrist, which eight years later looks remarkably like I tried to kill myself.
I was banned from the DT room three months later after another accident. Sadly no scars from that one.
