Back in the day (1985-ish)The MD of the pottery tableware manufacturers I worked for treated himself to a (then) brand new Porsche 944 in deep pearlescent purple. Lovely looking car, but he had to go and stick a personal plate on it, to whit: MUG 1P.
The dispatch manager, who had the sort of "fuck it" attitude I aspire to, complimented the MD on his new motor with the words, "It's not in bad nick for a P-reg is it?"
