This is a QotW answer now this is spooky
about two weeks ago I got the toast to pop and the jug to boil AT THE SAME TIME!

with my old toaster, i could time it so that the kettle boiled just after i'd buttered my still-hot toast, so i could eat the toast as i made my tea.
