Work ExperienceWe've got a work experience kid in for a couple of weeks and he'll do anything you tell him to... He's was in the server room most of yesterday monitoring the network activity lights - he almost missed his lunch till we took pity on him.

Sexist Blacksmith...In grade 10 (Canadian system, age 15-16) I applied for a work experience spot with a blacksmith, who was a neighbour of my woodworking teacher and interested in getting a student helper. No one else was interested, but I didn't get it. Didn't even get a meeting or interview. Reason? I'm a girl.
Not particularly funny in itself, but there's irony there: 11 years on, I've been practicing as a welder and fitter for 7 years, and one of my hobbies is blacksmithing. There's a lesson there (for him, not me).
Stupid sexist twunt of a blacksmith.
