Drop Dead Fred
I never really hated Queen, I thought lot's of their songs were written cynically to be played over and over at things like sports events (we are the champions etc. However the day after Freddie Mercury died my sister suddenly became their biggest fan, despite shwoing virtually no interest whilst he was alive. Cue months and months of non stop Queen albums, grating at my very soul.

I still stand by the fact that all their songs are shit as well

My father in law is a massive Queen fan
and I have discovered

A. I prefer queen since Farrokh died and other singers have taken over

B. Behind all the well known overplayed shite are hundreds of hardly known songs that are really good.

C. Brian May is a pretentious wanker. Plays with a sixpence on a homemade guitar. What a load of shit. He's not really that good and his guitar would probably sound shit if he hadn't put all that money in to amps etc. Its probably a replica these days anyway much like Billie Joe from green day doesn't really play the famous strat copy anymore its one of many replicas made to look like it.
