My new 24" 1080P monitor cost £320
So no more than that.

Why do you desire a Mac cinema screen over a generic brand like HP?

/edit: eBay completed auctions states between £270 and £350

This.
Mac stuff is so overpriced.

Oooh
Well my advice would be to sign in to eBay and do a completed listing search. Some well-written ones have gone for £400, so be sure to make it look good! :)

I've looked
there's only one for sale, for about £350. We weren't expecting that much, to be honest :)

Be sure to make a fuss of the fact it has no dead/stuck pixels
If i'm looking to buy a monitor, that's what I worry the most over. But hooray, money!

the perceived benefit of a white plastic veneer and a grey logo is the reason I don't like Apple

Yeah, but other products don't radiate love as you use them
The iPhone for example cures all diseases in the user, while they call.

Is that the one that goes with the Amiga?
