Well I had to dig out the phone book
but I found a man I haven't dated and had a lovely night out with him. I did laugh lots.

How was your evening?

I'm not sure I could bring myself to do it.

You're not truly Scottish until you are
after you have had one, you get the winged mars bar put onto your passport

(, Sun 18 May 2008, 1:13, archived)
I've not actually had one of those since living in scotland.
Had one in a chippy back in brumland when I was a nipper though.
(, Sun 18 May 2008, 1:23, archived)
a chippie in Bromsgrove did them
not very impressed with battered marsbar if I'm honest.

I said brumland out of habit from living so far up north.

Meh.
Mostly boring. I spent the day with my extended family, which was nice. Although my little cousin is a pain in the arse & I'm the only one who'll discipline him in any way.

Then I came home & I've been sitting being an internet fatty. Rubbish Saturday night.
(, Sun 18 May 2008, 1:02, archived)
Awww thanks, I didn't know I counted as extended family

Hiding in my bushes doesn't count as spending the day with me.

He's only been there for a few months.
& he's spent most of those months hiding back home from the rapists & drug dealers.

Hardly 'London years'.

(, Sun 18 May 2008, 1:22, archived)
A friend of mine is from the town next to Bob's
and if his description's anything to go by, there's no shortage of rapists and drug dealers there either.

I have just started editing Hindi
I have to get it done by Monday as I have to be in New York

only 5 languages to go tonight - and I lack sleep
(, Sun 18 May 2008, 1:04, archived)
I spent it mostly sleeping
because my sleep patterns have all been rubbish and it's been a long week.

But I woke up when Mr Veritas screamed in a particularly anguished fashion at Mario Kart on the Wii. And I couldn't get back to sleep.

So I got up, had a shower, put on some new pyjamas and watched a BBC4 drama-documentary about Kenneth Williams that I had downloaded on the iplayer.
(, Sun 18 May 2008, 1:04, archived)
Depressing wasn't it?
I thought it made him out to be far more morose than he actually was - his diaries are full of funny bits.
(, Sun 18 May 2008, 1:07, archived)
It was rather sad
I liked the Joe Orton bits and thought the actors were all very good.

It's difficult to get an actor to play someone who's so familiar, yet all the Carry On cast were recognisable and convincing.

I think I'll see if the library have a copy of the diaries.
(, Sun 18 May 2008, 1:11, archived)
Utterly fine thank you very much for asking
Glad yours turned out alright eventually.
(, Sun 18 May 2008, 1:05, archived)
mixed fortunes, really
I'm out of beer, but I have 4 new fish in the tank, so that's nice
(, Sun 18 May 2008, 1:07, archived)
did the new fish drink the beer?

(, Sun 18 May 2008, 1:08, archived)
no :D
the fish and beer are in no way linked
(, Sun 18 May 2008, 1:09, archived)
we were babysitting tonight
we had an extra 2 children to babysit for tonight so made £40 rather than £20. Not bad for sitting watching TV and drinking their tea. I also managed to score some extra I.T work for the bloke's business so that's good.

am now listening to Synthesizer Hits (a dodgy cover of Fade to Grey by Visage)
