I love a bit of wild swimming. Or as we used to call it when I was a kid, 'swimming'.

theres a couple of lovely spots for it up here,
River flows nice and quick so its fairly clean. Ish. Don't swim in the canal though.

I prefer the sea to rivers, for the waves. So far this year I have been swimming off the beaches at:
Bexhill (in March - water temp 8deg C)
Cooden Beach (twice)
Seaford
Walmer/Deal
Calais

I have been swimming a couple of times.
But I've had my whisky jacket on so it was fine.

i do love the sea, but its a bit far from here,
I think Bournemouth tomorrow is a nearly 2 hour drive.

I can get to Brighton in under an hour on the train, but Brighton is shit (or swimming) so I go a bit further. Seaford takes 90 mins, I go there before work sometimes if I'm not working till late afternoon

Or is there something I should know.
