mobile masts and stupid cnuts
Regularly there will be some complaint from a bunch of uneducated inbreds who don't want a mobile phone mast near them, even had some in the paper who tried to take down a mast that was going up at the end of their street and steel the digger laying the foundations.

When will they understand the concept of supply and demand, if you don't want a mast or to complain about getting less than a full signal, STOP USING YOUR FUCKING PHONES, they all walk or drive round with one glued to your ear sending invisible mind worms in to try and eat that remaning braincell.

Management on the fiddle
Defence contracts mean government money and lets face it a license to print money, you might think thank security on military installation construction might be tight, but due to all the cash floating around and the fact that these are non-profit they are far more slack than your average civilian job.

This isn't the case however, the project managers on this particular project were a right bunch of penny pinching gits who really were turning a blind eye to safety and hiring any old migrant worker without the permit or background checks, then this particular manager who was a particularly nasty bit of work would then threaten exposing the workers if they didn't help with his little side projects.

We've all liberated the odd thing whilst on the job but this really was taking the piss and with the help of the poor migrant workers he ended up having the audacity to siphon off entire deliveries and write them off or say they were 'lost in transit', which did actually happen on occasions when the locals really got fed up with the forces in the region. About the last lot that went was an innocuous palette of small mesh grilles that were about 2m squared.

When it came to covering that exhaust port the manager told me it wasn't an issue, anyway who'd notice?

How not to chat up a girl
Once during my student days I met a girl at some party and got chatting, got to the stage of walking her home and being invited in...

I said 'nah sorry got stuff to do, see you round and have a nice life'

Ten years later and my wife still won't let me forget that line, but she is having a nice life.

Uni standards
I wish I was getting some tat submitted, there are those who think they are bright enough to go to uni who submit work that I wouldn't have even dreamed of doing at the age of 12 let alone 21, they can't even realise that what they submit is total and utter shite. Using comic sans in anything design related is as we all are aware never to be employed, but oh I get stuff that not even a retard would produce in all the glorious effects that Word could offer, rainbow 3d text?

To top this all they complain the course is too hard...now the obvious thing would be to stop letting any old idiot think they can go to uni...no, the course is dumbed down, class sizes are due to increase again this year and there will not be an increase in resources so 25 computers 36 students in a class...still half of them can't even write their own names so I'm having very high expectations of getting even more crap submitted this year which due to 'targets' I'm not allowed to fail.

They deny that degrees are getting easier, if you can post up something for qotw you'll get a degree these days.

Sorry it's not funny and more of a rant but it's true.
