Why on earth should the widescreen format be distracting? Human vision itself is widescreen, having about a 180 degree panoramic view horizontally and half that vertically. In fact, widescreen better fits the film experience too, enabling directors to come up with significantly better asd asdf dsf asdf and if you're still reading this then your all gay
