As a child,any time my mum bought fish, I would take the eyes and put them in an air tight tablet bottle. I would then bury this for a few weeks (or months if I was feeling particularly cruel). The fun bit was walking up to people and shoving the freshly(?!) opened bottle directly beneath their nostrils. Incredibly foul smelling - I would only get a peripheral whiff which would still be enough to make me retch.
