Dixon of Dock Green was originally a character in "The Blue Lamp", which was a film made in about 1950. He gets killed in it though, so I dunno how he negotiated his own series afterwards. Mind you it worked for that Taggart lad, didn't it!

Based on my experience of Dixon's customer service, you'd be the one saying "evening all!" to them - repeatedly... on a similar subject, did anyone see "Modern Toss" last night?
