TJ! - What do people think of this? www.b3ta.cr3ation.co.uk/data/swf/homeworldhistory.swf - just don't click the images...they take you to the tutorial site I used.

Anyone know how to restrict it to 800x600 in a broswer though?

Edit - bit more info... Its based on the Homeworld series of games, with each picture corresponding to a period of time, and the discovery of the Great Hyperspace Cores - The First Core was discovered by the Bentusi, hence the Bentus being used as the image.
The second core was discovered by the Hiigarans. They used it to wage war, and lost, but managed to take the core with them into exile. Hence the picture of the Hiigaran mothership. This part of the project will take in the journey back across the galaxy, to reclaim Hiigara, as seen in the first game.
The Third Core was found by Makaan, but all three need to be together to allow Saajuk, a massive ship at the centre of the galaxy, to jump out of the gravity well there. The picture is of the three hyperspace cores. This part deals with the war that follows the 3rd cores discovery.

# I very much like that.
That said, I have no idea about the technique involved in making it, but from a purely aesthetic point of view - woo.

# you need the proper html code to embed it
clicking "publish" in flash creates the corresponding html file (and/or other formats), the flash movie then has the size you defined for your stage in flash. you can also change the "width" and "height" setting in the html file to scale it later when needed. (on both occurences of the words in the file, there's a different method for embedding in Firefox and IE. Also, try to keep the aspect ratio when scaling).

# AH-HA!
this is an awesome thing. It has to be 800x600 for my assignment brief, but I also want to show it off on the web, so this is good

# another option is using the line
Stage.scaleMode = "noScale";
in your code :)
(, Tue 8 Jan 2008, 0:05, archived)
# That'll confuse the colourblind.
Why do you want to restrict its size? Currently it scales to whatever size the window is, which is one of the great things about flash (that hardly ever gets capitalised on since most people use html to force it to have a particular size).
