I remember
going to see Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine at the Counterpoint Club, in Bletchley in the late 80's.
Yes, it was as small and grotty as the name suggests.
They still had all their lights though...
Next time I saw them, they were on the main stage at Glastonbury.
