oh, but its true.
of course that doesn't explain why she sent it to the NY Post.
edit: oh, and im not sure why she thought a train driver would come to a screeching halt because someone used flash photography.

Having been on a motorway, about 300 yards from an upturned car...
whilst driving at 70mph, I have to say the woman on the hard shoulder waving a jacket was in no way helpful.
I was thinking "what the hell is wrong with that... OH SHIIIIIIIT!".
I can imagine some flash photography isn't going to help someone who works in dark subterranean tunnels all day long.
Now - maybe he thought that....
Now - he had a camera with a flash - so there is some chance he was extremely far away, and additionally had a moderately good lens...
