It depends on your viewpoint on the allegations against assange I think.

Clearly the public can't know for certain if he's guilty or not But whatever your stance you have to acknowledge that its highly coincidental that very soon after pissing off the governments of some of the most powerful countries on earth, he is accused of crimes that not only damage his reputation but also carry a long jail sentence. *IF* using that logic, you look at the charges as politically motivated, then he actually doing an important thing in highlighting his cause and refusing to co-operate.

In those circumstances, its unsurprising that he doesn't want to go through the legal process.

This is a normal post that's a long string of assumptions from a co-incidence
and co-incidences are just that aren't they? a co-incidence.

All smacks of 'my high falutin' principles are so terribly important that mere laws don't apply to me' with a healthy dose of really over estimating his importance.

But that's just me.

More of a statement that there is an alternative viewpoint to the narrative that fits in very well with the agenda of the establishment.

And if you take that alternative viewpoint then his actions don't seem that unreasonable.

My original point was that its depressing that so many people have just accepted the idea that he is dodgy and a rapist without questioning how this stuation may have been made to come about.

there is a process to getting to the bottom of whether he's a rapist.

He appears determined to not take it.

And you find it depressing that people think he's 'dodgy'?

My only point - because I find all of these conspiracy theories terribly dull, was that hiding from the law looks really terrible whoever is doing it.

This is a normal post 3 different credible sources have confirmed there is a grand jury indictment against Assange, but you don't let that influence your blind hatred of him
