I know what you mean about pictures being edited to be "acceptable" to the mainstream media.
But, without fail, PM's longer features on some atrocity can make me blub/empathise more than any picture ever can.
(I realise the vacuousness of what I just wrote)

Agreed ... about the written media ... I'm, reading
All Hell Let Loose by Max Hastings about WWII and some of it is totally shocking ... truly.
