goodness knows what they do if they have to take a train apart for any reason, it would be impossible to shunt the coaches round individually.

I think the rakes of 4 or 3 conjoined units are small enough to be shunted as units, and when they need to fix them the use the magic of cranes. [EDIT oh, they are groups of 10......as you were]
