Love was an album for people who dont like the Beatles.
This on the other hand is a master class in production. Yeah the song itself is a little weak but they found it in a loft for fucks sake. GL should be applauded for his skills on this song.
GL also makes no bones about wanting to be in the Beatles, George Harrison was one of his best friends and I think actually lived next door to him.
Apparently there is another song on the tape that they never got round to doing because Harrison was being a cunt in the studio. McCantsing recently said that now he's dead they should go back and finish it off!

Jeff Lynne is lovely
Mate came back after interviewing saying as such, and having seen the BBC4 documentary on him I can see why. Extremely modest yet brilliant, very quiet and still has an infectious enthusiasm for what he does. Massively underrated.
