Yeah, I think Forrest Gump and Slumdog are good movies
Don't forget the Oscars is just a high brow average crossed with who's popular that year to try and make the organisation slightly credible.
Doesn't mean they are shit movies, just average-ish, popular and slightly better than the generic popcorn crap that cinema goers pay the big bucks for.
Except Shakespeare in Love, that was shit, and Titanic and Braveheart, but those were obviously political/backhander jobs
