This is a link post The Sophie Lancaster Foundation is applying for a further community grant from Lloyds Bank
I recall posting similar last year and I know many of you voted. If you can spare the time once again it will help the foundation continue it's work in educating young people about the damage that prejudice can do.

It does require an email address and response to a verification email.

The foundation's homepage is here

(Apologies for edit - fecked up the title)

This is a normal post Done.
I am reminded (as I was last year, no doubt) of her mother's appearance on radio four. Brave woman.

This is a normal post I remember it well also
It was broadcast around the 'Black Roses' play (which, I've just discovered, is unavailable on bbc iplayer. For why?)

This is a normal post I can't help but feel
that this is a massive waste of time and money.

It's not like someone gets kicked to death every week because they have dreadlocks (if only...)

It was an isolated incident, horrible as it was, but what exactly is this money doing in these times of austerity? Going around schools telling kids 'goths are really cool, honest!'

There are far far far more deserving causes than this. The charity pool really doesn't need diluting with this.

Yeah yeah I'm a cunt etc.
