I once worked at a rental company for whom Mr. Westwood was a regular client. He'd hire out stuff like big screen TVs (usually reserved for corp. conferences, etc) and other 'bling' to his home for parties I guess. you know what...
Westwood's a bit of a knobber BUT he's done a lot for hip-hop in the UK. he's also no less authentic than Joe Strummer (who was a public school educted hippy who suddenly dumped all his mates and turned punk) but everyone seems to rate The Clash.
Jay Z is a stunning talent who had to put up with thinly veiled racist attacks from irrelevant bores like Noel Gallagher and Gordon Smart from the Sun, and for my money he put all criticism to rest within the first 5 minutes of his Glastonbury performance.
so yeah....they talk like idiots, fair enough, but I'd rather watch them talk nonsense than the Kaiser Cheifs of the Kooks and I'm a long time indie kid...
