: PLAYING DEAD
  Kids love it

This week on our site we featured the latest
Korean craze: people pretending to be corpses.

It's now catching on in the UK.

  Jools writes -

"My kids have done their own 'playing dead'
site. As a proud mum I'll admit to helping
them a bit. We'd love it if you signed the
  guestbook for them."

We love this. These kids are trainee goths.

: WHAT B3TA PEOPLE HAVE BEEN MAKING THIS WEEK
Polar art, New Weebl and Crap drawings

  >> Huge polar bear <<
B3ta's emblem is a small pixely polar bear.
You may have seen it tattooed on peoples'
arms. And now? The Boy T has rendered it
big enough to fit on the side of a double
decker bus. In the medium of carpet tiles.
http://www.users.totalise.co.uk/~adntaylor/furtive...

  >> Weebl goes beatnik <<
Jack Kerouac made his name by drinking boozes
and performing freeform wordage with jazz
bongos. Weebl is attempting the same.
http://www.weebl.jolt.co.uk/poet.htm

  >> Crap drawings <<
Picture Mickey Mouse in your head. Don't
cheat. Don't look at reference material.
Now draw him. Looks shite doesn't it?
Charlotte Cooper has got all her mates
to have a go. They're rubbish too.

: THE HUMAN ZOO
People we'd like you to meet

  >> Jared the Gut <<
American burger restaurants will make you
anything you want, even if what you want is
a plate of heart disease. Marvel as this bloke
puts away several feet of undercooked meat
and melted processed cheese product leaving
only... well that would spoil the surprise.
http://www2.b3ta.com/b/fatbastard/

  >> Neil no-mates <<
There are hundreds of "I need a date" pages
on the web, but this one stands out. Details
we liked included the self assessment form,
the confession of self harm, and the
admission that he doesn't go out much.
Don't get us wrong - we really like this
guy - and think you should too.

-------------------------------------------------

: SITES IN BRIEF
Stuff we like that wasn't made by our mates.

  >> Jiggly 3D Pictures <<
These 3D images are astoundingly clever yet so
simple you want to rush out and make them yourself.
Now there's and idea... now we just need to find
an enormous pair of breasts and a camera.

  >> Libraries are cool <<
This is a lovely celebration of all that is cool
about libraries, sent to us by a proud mate of the
creator. The electroclash/lo-fi music and Jet Set
Willy references make this fucking ace.
http://www.cheekybeef.co.uk/library.html

  >> Stupid fluffy bunnies <<
We like bunnies, but some people just have
to take things too far. Breeding them
so that they can't even see? They look
  more like tribbles.
http://home.pacbell.net/bettychu/2003allbreedbisri...

  >> Table football trickery <<
We were shit at table football and got banned
for spinning all the time. If we could do these
moves, all our friends would buy us beer and we'd
  probably have got more sex.
http://snurl.com/26oa

  >> Bio-motion simulator <<
Play with this. It's fun. We especially like the
slider between Man and Woman, so you can be as
  sexually confused as you like.

: B3TA IMAGE CHALLENGE
  Results from the Klan Challenge

Each week we run a competition to test your
creative skills. We set a challenge and you
open Photoshop and mess with our heads.

Last week we wanted you to photoshop the Klan:
http://b3ta.com/challenge/klan/

We asked B3ta boarder 'Tedmus' to judge the
entries - here are his 3 faves.

  Tedmus writes -

#1 "Untitled - this one wins simply because it
made me laugh the most. (Mystery Bob)
http://b3ta.com/board/1829327

#2 "Say Cheese - very close second goes to this.
Equally chucklesome and cleverly thought out.
     (lemonhead)
http://b3ta.com/board/1830304

#3 "I'd always wondered what he had against the
'dark' side - this one's excellent too. Lovely
photoshopping and I love the lightsabre."
     (Darryn.R)
http://b3ta.com/board/1827490

"Can I give a special mention to this one by Croz,
it's a great concept and really nicely 'shopped?"
  Well. Ok then.

This week, B3ta contributor Darryn.R gave us
  the suggestion, "Hollywood Premakes"

  HANDY TIP:
If your walkman batteries are going flat and
you're in a fairly remote place, simply put one
into each armpit for about 15 minutes.
Afterwards you should get another 15 minutes
or so out of the littler chaps. It's something
  to do with the heat.
