: JOHN'S NOT MAD POP VIDEO
  80s swear-fest fun.

In 1989 the BBC ran a documentary about a
  boy with Tourette's syndrome - a condition
  with symptoms including compulsive swearing.

Called "John's not Mad", it starred an
overweight boy in a track suit who called
  his mother "cunt". A lot.

Of course - kids loved it.

In 2001 cut-up video terrorists Cartel
Communique and sample weirdo Osymyso have
turned him into a pop-star. Mike from Cartel
says, "John is an inspiration to us."

The end result is dark, nasty and very
  funny. (Requires realvideo software
  and a fast link.)

(BTW: A follow up to the TV show has
been commissioned, and will be on UK
  screens next year.)

: HAWKING/DAVROS ANIMATION - FOLLOW UP
  Davros sends us email.

Last week B3ta member Mike Trindler
  released his touching Davros animation
  - in which the leader of the Daleks fell
  in love with Stephen Hawking.

Terry Molloy - the actor who played
Davros in the TV series - got in touch:

    "Wheeey! Serious shit or what?
Loved it. Have you thought of doing
a Davros Christmas special? With all
the little Daleks round the tree whilst
the Doctor is roasting on an open fire?"

"And the Daleks could sing carols
    too."

(BTW: Terry sends his email under the
  alias Davros. Respect.)

Watch it again - Davros loves it:

: THE B3TA GALLERY
Our favourite images - together at last.

AndyK rocks. He's taken some of the images
that people have placed upon the B3ta board
and created a fantastic animated gallery -
all in the style of the UK TV kids art show,
  Take Hart.

AndyK says, "There's some images in there
which made me ache with laughter. I wanted
  to share that with others."

  It's a wondrous thing, and the music - a
glockenspiel track called Left Bank 2 -
  is fantastic.

: LINK OF THE WEEK
Mame - I want to live forever

This old school arcade tribute uses the theme
tune from the movie Fame, cut together with
scenes from old computer games. It's an
amazing celebration of chunky graphics and
  gaming nostalgia.

The author Pantazis C. Houlis, 31, only
started using the Flash authoring tool
at the start of October this year.

He says, "I knew that the modification of
an 80's song would ideally fit with the
classic arcade games. I just had to find
  the right song."
