I had the chance to purchase some rural property
It was beautiful, wooded areas interspersed with wildflower strewn meadows. The kids discovered a gully with a tarry substance coming from one of the banks, and came back covered in the stuff. It smelled like creosote and was impossible to clean off.
My wife insisted that I turn down the deal. I had to choose between the black seep or the family.

Cotton Picking Story.
Not about sheep but agricultural non the less.
My ancestors were split in the early 19th century when around half of them emigrated to the USA. G.g.g.g. grandfather Ruben and G.g.g.g grandmother Millicent struck it lucky and ended up running a plantation in Louisiana. Family diaries detailed occurrences familiar to those who have watched 12 Years A Slave. If anything the film underplayed the cruelty.
Probably the most horrendous episode logged was when, around the start of the abolition process, slaves started to disappear on a regular basis. Escape was virtualy impossible. Where would they escape to? The neighbouring plantation?
Over a period of 12 months around fifty slaves, ten percent of the workforce, went missing without trace. It was only by luck that my relatives eventually discovered what had been happening.
They were on one of their regular family picnics in one of the hundreds of charming copses on the estate. There was shade from the hot sun and a beautiful soft grassy bank by a sparkling, soda water brook. Couldn't have been more peaceful.
During the idyll G.g.g.g.grandfather had to answer a call of nature and went among the trees to a respectable distance from his family. What he came upon shocked him to the core. In a clearing, piled high upon high, were the corpses of slaves. They had all been brutally murdered then just thrown on top of each other and left to rot.
My Gx4 grandfather was beside himself and rushed back to break the news to his wife. On sight she could see there was something seriously wrong. "You look terrible Ruben, what on earth has happened?
He replied, "I think I've just stumbled upon the blacks' heap of the farm, Milly"

There's a breed of sheep called the Finnsheep.
They are prized for their wool, which has "a soft handle, a moderate crimp and a high lustre" (according to Wikipedia), and are often kept in separate enclosures by shepherds to maintain breed purity, identified by signs saying "Stay about from my Finns".

Cousin Jeremy
My wife's cousin - the aforementioned Jeremy - was something of a simple soul; he liked nothing more than wandering round the local parks and chatting to people, perhaps partaking in a bit of football with the local kids, sitting on the bench reading the Beano and so on.

This all turned rather ugly one day when Jeremy was caught stroking the one-eyed trouser snake - not quite craftily enough hidden by The Beano - on the park bench whilst watching the kids play football.

The family put up with quite a lot of abuse before they had to move. I mean, who prefers The Beano over The Dandy?

My Black sheep story.
Idiot, why did I press enter.

So anyway basically there isn't just one black sheep in this family I belong to, there's actually a few. They are called MODs. They are the MODs of the B3ta family. They claim to help run the site alas most people are of the opinion they look through previous QOTW take a shit from a great height on the list and then whatever old QOTW most shit lands on they use again. Generally also thought to probably be involved quite heavily in operation yew tree and not from the old bill side.

Oh and apparently their leader and head black sheep is some god like ginger nonce that can seduce a baby at 10 yards with nothing more than a wink.

wanky wanky

wank

tl:dr get better QOTW
