A guy I knowonce tried to drown a mouse in a bucket. He scooped it into the bucket when he caught it, and filled the bucket with just enough water for the mouse not to be able to escape.
30 minutes later the mouse was still swimming around the sides. Poor bastard. So he used a beer bottle to press it to the bottom. Again, the fucker just wouldn't drown.
Well it did eventually.
