luxembourgI once convinced a friend that Luxembourg was only a country on paper, and existed as a metal plaque between germany, france and belgium.
I didn't see him for years, but then ran across him in a pub. I got a massive punch on the arm and laughingly told that he had been repeating this story for over a decade, before someone showed him it wasn't true.

LuxembourgYou were right! I've been there.
Seriously small country, with very low tax on petrol. One street that was along the border with Germany had petrol stations all (and I mean ALL - several miles) along the lux side and houses all down the German side.
