If nurses were all living in Mansions in Blackburn maybe they'd have a point.

Don't be a fucking nurse then.

An awful lot of people are taking that advice.

Don't get me wrong
it's a piss poor indictment of where our priorities lay but if the money isn't enough, do something else.

The government do a very good job of presenting the whole of the public sector as hate figures
They like to cherry pick the information so that people think that across the board all public sector workers have the holidays of teachers, the pay of council leaders, the pension of Fred Goodwin, etc. I DONT GET THESE PERKS IN MY PRIVATE SECTOR JOB SO WHY SHOULD THEY???
(, Thu 12 Apr 2012, 16:21, Reply)
I don't get these perks yet I pay for yours.

(, Thu 12 Apr 2012, 16:23, Reply)
I bet you've got a good accountant who ensures that you don't.

(, Thu 12 Apr 2012, 16:24, Reply)
The private sector is mostly paye so no ,not really

(, Thu 12 Apr 2012, 16:26, Reply)
PAYE me. I pay a fucking fortune in tax and NI.

(, Thu 12 Apr 2012, 16:26, Reply)
Good.

I don't begudge it (like I have a choice)
but I think I am entitled to ask to see some value.

You are entitled to a vote every five years
Which may or may not have some bearing on who makes some of the decisions on how it is spent. That is all.
(, Thu 12 Apr 2012, 16:30, Reply)
Maybe.

(, Thu 12 Apr 2012, 16:33, Reply)
Also, public sector workers pay tax and NI too.
They may not be able to draw much of it back as pensions though.
(, Thu 12 Apr 2012, 16:31, Reply)
They'll draw back more than I will.

(, Thu 12 Apr 2012, 16:33, Reply)
