Okay, here's a subthread question:
I was reading an article yesterday about people who have forgiven and made up after years and years of not speaking. How long is too long - or how far is too far - to consider rebuilding bridges?

I realised today that I really miss a friend I haven't spoken to in forever, I couldn't even tell you why we're not speaking any more, but it just seems to have happened.
I don't think I'd know where to start now though.

My grandfather did not talk to his only brother for about 60 years.
