My GrandmaMy Dad's Mum (God rest her soul, she died last year), once asked my Dad "What happened in 1943?" My Dad replied, "Well, there was a war on.......rationing.........oh, and I was born". Cue short silence from my Grandma before she replied "Oh yes, you were born. I knew something happened to me in 1943!". Alan Bennett couldn't write it.....
