This is a question I Quit!

Scaryduck writes, "I celebrated my last day on my paper round by giving everybody next door's paper, and the house at the end 16 copies of the Maidenhead Advertiser. And I kept the delivery bag. That certainly showed 'em."

What have you flounced out of? Did it have the impact you intended? What made you quit in the first place?

Mrs Humpty just quit...
She'd been working a trial 3 months for a textiles firm. she was employed as dog's-body, though she's an accomplished designer (You can't walk through Ikea without seeing at least 20 of her designs)

During her first interview the owner of the company said: "We're trimming out some employees, we've fired 10 so far this year. we're replacing them with people that suit the company better"

This same Boss
1. Gives out HUGE amounts of work to employees and acts surprised when it can't be done.
2. Actively looks over people's shoulders and tuts out loud.
3. bullies employees.
4. Gave HUGE bonuses to people who'd not rung in sick or had to stay home to look after ill kids.
5. Disappears for days at a time without being contactable. As she bitches about EVERYTHING she needs to be consulted at all times.. this makes things difficult.

It was after a week there that Mrs Humpty realised that there was no communication in the office at all. No coffee breaks.. infact having a break was frowned upon... sure.. the boss can go smoke, but coffee breaks are a no-no.

It was after 3 weeks that She started to find time to talk to other people. She found out that not ONE employee had been fired.... they had all walked out and told the Boss where to stick her company.

Mrs Humpty has now done the same and is starting her own company.

... Then the question comes as to how the Bitch Boss managed to own the company to start with.

Well.. she used to be married to the original owner. During a messy divorce (She brought it about apparently) the soon-to-be Ex hubby decided that he didn't want her to get the company so he sold it to his best mate.

She saw this as a chance... and set about getting the best friend. A year later she married him, and a year after that divorced him: Ensuring that the company became hers.

... Evil in a Dress... and no idea about how to run a car, let alone a company.

Mrs Humpty Quit, and I've never been so proud of her. Tomorrow is her last day and the Champagne is in the fridge :D

Here's hoping...
...Mrs Humpty leaves the boss a nasty parting gift.

The boss sounds like she deserves nothing less.
