This is a question Sporting Woe

In which we ask a bunch of pasty-faced shut-ins about their exploits on the sports field. How bad was it for you?

Thanks to scarpe for the suggestion.

I went ice skating on a date with a lass when I was 14.
First time skating so basically went around in circles holding hands, as you do. There was a flash bastard who skated around the rink backwards, crossing his ankles over etc. the place was busy, and one girl fell on her ass. This guy, still going backwards, skated over her face - diagonally from her right eyebrow to the left side of her chin. There was blood everywhere, she was screaming, loads of other people were screaming, and we all had to clear the rink until the ambulance turned up which took a full forty minutes. When they finally did they had to chip her face off of the floor because all of the blood had frozen it to the rink.

That's the only time I've ever been ice skating.

I call bullshit
As if anyone would lie with the face that had just been slit open pressed against an ice rink long enough to freeze into position. Rather than stumble around with their face in their hands.

She wasn't in a state to be up and walking
She was a mess.

Not as nice a memory as one of my early trips to the rink
Works trip, lots of young ladies in tight polo neck tops.

I've stopped at an exit, facing the oncoming skaters and waiting to get off the ice, when one such lady veers towards me, arms-a-flailing.

She manages to stop in front of me and starts to fall backwards, but as her arms are still doing an impression of a windmill in a force 10 hurricane I can't hold on to them to steady her.

So I aimed to grab her body, but managed just to grab her by the tits instead.

There was an awkward few seconds as we looked at each other. She was relieved but at the same time, possibly a bit concerned.

So I apologised and let go, without thinking...

I thought
that sort of thing only happened in cartoons.
