She was telling me he was running for local mayor in his province, up against Ergodan's shill. His ticket was anti-corruption and against the "muslim mafia".

"Yer," she said, "but that's not really corruption, is it? That's just normal Turkish bribery."

Not a hearth chimney; it's one of those big metal tubes with a handle that you fill with charcoal and use for lighting your barbie.
It makes lighting it an almost zero-effort process. Instead of standing there fanning the flames like a wally for fifteen minutes, you put a few firelighters in the bottom, fill it up with charcoal and light the firelighters. Convection and rising heat take care of the rest.

They're going to be playing a lot of the music I like but it's right on the outskirts of town, in the middle of nowhere, it doesn't start until 22:00 and I'm going to be the youngest person there if I go, which is rarely a recipe for success.

I can assure you it was in my school's hymnal.
We never had to sing it, to give at least some credit to the music director. Any and all hymns that attempt in any way to be cool, modern or jazzy are unutterably fucking tragic, and I'm including "Shine, Jesus, Shine" in that category.
Some hymns are little musical gems if you filter out the Bible-thumping of the words. "Thine be the glory, risen, conquering Son" was set to music by Mendelssohn, for example.

Because I'm not sitting around in a circle with any of you freaks and discussing the symbolism in Harry Potter and the Dripping Flange or whatever.
My answer is Catch-22 though.

Nah, I read one of his other books and it was shit.
Then I started another and it was also shit. At this point I spotted a pattern and stopped reading his books.

I can only presume to speak for my own.
If other people want to keep theirs in my pants, that's a matter for negotiation.
